June 1, 2023 Update

Effective June 1, 2023, our office will be mask-optional for patients and visitors.

We appreciate your adherence to our masking policy over the past few years. We are happy to provide you with a mask if you feel more comfortable wearing one.

We look forward to seeing you!

November 1, 2022 Update

We want to say thank you to all of you for your ongoing trust and support of our practice. Our most important goal is to provide you with the best dental care to obtain and maintain optimal oral health. At the same time, we continue to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic and strive to protect both you and our staff from infection. We have decided to continue to require face masking for all in our office, both patients and staff, at all times for the foreseeable future. We believe that this practice has helped prevent the spread not only of COVID but also other communicable diseases in our office over the past 2 years. We have opened our waiting room so you no longer need to call from your car when you arrive. If you prefer to wait outside, just let us know. We are enjoying catching up with you all as we return to more of a sense of normalcy.

Thank you very much for your patience and understanding of our policies. We always have and always will err on the side of caution with all of our safety measures to prevent the spread of communicable disease. Please let Dr. O’Leary know if you have specific questions. We look forward to seeing you!

June 1, 2021 Update

We are so appreciative of the support and trust our patients have given us since we re-opened our office one year ago after the COVID-19 shutdown.  While it has been a challenging year, we have also learned a lot including the value of human interaction.  We have truly enjoyed seeing you here and are honored to be your chosen dental provider.

We have all been fully vaccinated for COVID-19 since February.  We are thrilled that so many of our patients are also fully vaccinated and appreciate you letting us know your vaccination status. We have been fielding a lot of questions regarding lessening or eliminating COVID-19 restrictions in the general community and how that affects our office. We continue to follow CDC and ADA guidance, both of which state that medical offices should continue mask wearing.  Additionally, to comply with recent ADA announcements, we are not only continuing to require a mask to be worn for all who enter our office but are also still practicing social distancing and other COVID-19 precautions in our office.  This means that patients still need to call us when they arrive and kindly wait outside until they are told it is time for them to enter the office, sanitize their hands and have their temperature taken.  We are limiting the use of our waiting room to keep everyone safe.  We realize this is cumbersome but we err on the side of caution and always practice universal precautions to prevent the spread of any disease.

Thank you very much for your patience and understanding as we continue to navigate these unusual times.  Please discuss any concerns you have directly with Dr. O’Leary.

August 27, 2020 Update

We have enjoyed seeing many of you in the office this summer. We are happy to announce that we are resuming our automated reminder system, with some changes from pre-COVID-19 norms. You may confirm your appointment via the automated reminder, but we still MUST speak with you by phone in order to screen for COVID-19 exposure and to explain the current office protocols for your appointment during this pandemic. I realize this takes extra time but we are acting in the interest of everyone’s safety. Thank you for your patience and we hope these reminders will be helpful.

Respectfully,

Dr. O’Leary’s office

June 1, 2020 Update

To our patients,

My office is officially reopened as of Monday, June 1 as DC enters Phase One of reopening during the Coronavirus pandemic. We are happy to be back at work and are ready to safely provide your dental needs.

We have implemented protocols and guidelines in the office to keep patients properly distant and safe from each other.  To do this we will limit how many patients are in the office at any one time.  At this time, all appointments MUST be confirmed by phone as to screen each patient and instruct on the new protocols, which include wearing a mask.  I apologize for any inconvenience.

We will continue to follow the strictest guidelines for sterilization and infection control and have added N95 and KN95 masks and face shields to our  PPE.  We have added HEPA air purifiers and HOCL air foggers.  Our patients' and our staff's safety are our number one concern.  We look forward to providing your dental care.

Respectfully,

Dr. Dennis S. O'Leary

THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT MAKING AN APPOINTMENT

  • We are working on rescheduling the appointments that were missed during the shutdown. Feel free to call if you ready to reschedule.

  • We have suspended our automated text/email reminders as all appointments must be confirmed by phone to ensure that we have explained our new protocols to keep you and us as safe as possible when you come to our office.

  • We will do a brief phone screening with you to ask about possible exposure to COVID-19.

THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT YOUR VISIT

  • In order to limit patient exposure to other patients, we are currently not using our reception room. Please call us when you arrive and we will let you know if we are ready for you to enter the office.

  • Patients should come to their visit alone unless they are a minor or require a caretaker. Any necessary companions will accompany the patient to the operatory and will not wait in the reception area.

  • All patients and necessary companions must wear a mask until they are in the dental chair and are instructed to remove it.

  • Patients will be asked to sanitize their hands upon arrival and will have their temperature taken before they are taken to the back.

  • Patients can check out at the reception room side of the front desk. Or you can call us from your car and check out over the phone if that makes you more comfortable.

  • We look forward to seeing you!
